Presidency Group of Institutions (PGI), along with the University, constitutes 7 Schools and a College. While the college offers programmes to students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in information technology, commerce, management and journalism, the schools offer National and International Boards of Studies.Presidency College, located in Bengaluru, has been re-accredited by NAAC with ‘A+’ . PU Karnataka course eligibility 2024

PHD

Master’s Degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory, regulatory body, with a good academic record and a minimum of 55% of marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 – point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed)
OR
M.Phil. Degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 – point scale in the M.Phil. Program coursework

B.Tech

Pass in Pre-University / Higher Secondary /10+2 examination Pass with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics /Computer.

Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to Reserved Category) in the above subjects taken together

In case of SC/ST, Category -1 and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) category students from Karnataka (Karnataka candidates) the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40 %.

M.Tech

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Engineering [B.E/B.Tech/ M.Sc] in the relevant field from any Indian or Foreign University, recognised by UGC, having obtained at least 50% of marks in the aggregate [45% in the case of reserved Category Candidates]

Commerce

Pass in 10+2 or an equivalent examination from any recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST candidates)

Management

*Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in Case of Candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate from a Recognised University
*A high score in a National- Level Management Aptitude Test [CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/KMAT] & any other National Examination.
*Work Experience, if any.

LAW

LLB ;

Pre-University/ Higher Secondary/ 10+2 Examination Pass form recognised Board with minimum of 45% in aggregate ( 40% in case of candidates belonging to Reserved Category)

Appeared for CLAT/LSAT- -India/PULAT( Presidency University Law Admission Test)

The maximum age limit for candidates is 20 years as on the first day of July of the year of admission (22 years in case of candidates belonging to Reserved Category)

LLM;

  • No student shall be eligible for admission to One-Year Master of Law (LL.M) Degree Program unless he/she has passed in the examination conducted by a University leading to the award of LL.B degree.
  • The admission to One Year Master of Law (LL.M) Program shall be based on merit in the qualifying degree, scores secured in the All India Admission Test conducted every year by the Universities individually or by a group of universities collectively, specifically for this purpose, with the objective of testing aptitude for teaching/research, legal reasoning, and comprehension/basic legal knowledge and interview conducted by Presidency University, Centre for Post-Graduate Legal Studies (CPGLS).

DESIGN

Pass in 10+2 examination/ Pre-University / Higher Secondary with Arts Commerce, Science stream. Obtained at least 45% marks In case of SC/ST, Category -1 and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) category students from Karnataka candidates) the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40 %. INFORMATION SCIENCE
