Vidya Academy of Science & Technology Technical Campus (VAST TC), one of the best Engineering colleges in Kerala is situated at Kilimanoor is a venture of Vidya International Charitable Trust (VICT). This college was established based on guidelines issued by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Approval F.No. South-West/1-1419517371/2013/LOA dated 10-Apr-2013 and affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University vide reference No: KTU/A/593/2015 dated 15/05/2015 and previously to the Kerala University vide reference No. Ac.B/02/17683/2012-13 dated 14/05/13 . With the short period, this institution has developed with its talented and committed faculty, high quality infrastructure, high technology teaching aids and by providing a serene atmosphere that complements academic life. VAST TC makes the students life in the campus very interesting and purposeful. The students are provided with opportunities to take part in sports & games, cultural programs, dramas, various club activities and National Service Scheme. In addition, ample opportunities are provided in participating and conducting seminars, workshops, symposiums etc. The trust was constituted with a vision to provide higher education and training to our younger generation who will be highly sought after by leading business houses worldwide.

VASTTC Kerala course eligibility 2024

BTECH 

ELIGIBILITY

1. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subject with at least 45% marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for admission. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility.

2. Candidates should have passed and be ranked in the KEAM / JEE 2023.

3. Admission under NRI quota -   Students are exempted from qualifying in Entrance Test.  But, the following addl documents are required to be submitted at the time of admission under NRI quota:-

(a) NRI/Dependence/Sponsorship certificate  (Format –Download)
(b) Copy of VISA of the sponsor
(c) Copy of Passport of the sponsor

PROCESS

  •  Admission Process

50% of the seats as indicated above will be allotted by the Govt and the remaining 50% seats filled by the college under the Management and NRI seats. 

  • Admission Process for Management Seats

Application forms to be obtained from college/downloaded from site/Apply online.
Submit filled up applications along with connected documents by due date.
Rank list of applicants will be displayed on website/ published based on Entrance rank merit.
Students will be called for admission counseling on notified dates and admission process carried out as per the rank list. Students will be accompanied by their parent.
Students will have the facility to record their higher options for various branches.
All original/ supporting documents and full fees will be deposited at the time of admission.

  • Admission to NRI seats

Time :  9:30 to 5:00  for NRI admission.

  •  Cancellation of Admission

No cancellation of admission is permitted after the admissions have been declared as closed. Cancellation of admission after due date will be subject to payment of liquidation fees as stipulated by the Govt.

  • NOTE

Original documents once deposited will be returned back to the student after completion of verification by the college, university and other statutory authorities. Sufficient Photostat copies of each document should be kept with the students duly attested by a Gazetted officer for their future use during this period.

BTECH LATERAL

ELIGIBILITY

1. Candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education or Equivalent after undergoing regular course of three years study in an approved institution are eligible for admission.

2. Rank in Entrance Exam for Lateral Entry Test (LET).

3. Graduates with Maths/Physics as main & Diploma Holders in Engineering will also be allowed as per AICTE Norms.

PROCESS

  • Admission Process

  • Duration of The Course

B.Tech degree course will be completed over a period of 3 years consisting of 6 semesters.

  • Admission Process for Management Seats

placement-VASTTC Kerala

Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Technical Campus (VAST TC) give a lot of emphasis to the training and placement requirements of the student community. There are many training programmes that are schemed to enhance the capabilities of students in order to meet the expectations of the industry. During the second, third and fourth year of engineering, one hour per week is dedicated for co-curricular activities with a special focus to placement oriented training aimed at the overall development of the students. The students are provided an orientation and in depth training in language skills, aptitude skills, personality and soft skills. Apart from the general training, VAST TC also brings specialists and industry experts in order to motivate and enhance the exposure.  Placement activities are aligned to meet the current challenges and the emerging market scenarios. Active industry representations are solicited on a regular basis and in this connection; various forums are formed to extend the reach and interactions with the student community. With such activities VAST TC was able to place 34 students from the very first batch as detailed separately
