ULTRA College of Engineering & Technology is the sixth educational institution started by Prof.K.R. Arumugam, Founder Chairman of ULTRA Trust Madurai in the year 2009. It is the first women's engineering college in the temple city Madurai for empowering the women to contribute the best for the growth of global economy. Also it is the one & only engineering college that offers Mechanical Engineering course exclusively for women in Tamilnadu. It prepares students to be a successful Engineering managers meeting the global industrial needs.

Eligibility:

HSC (Academic & Vocational) Candidates

The minimum requirements for admission to B.E. / B.Tech. Programmes are :

Backward 45 %
Most Backward 40 %
SC / ST 40 %
 
Lateral Entry Candidates:

The candidates who possess the Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamilnadu or its equivalent are eligible to apply for Lateral entry admission to the third semester of B.E. / B.Tech. in the branch corresponding to the branch of study.

B.Sc Candidates who hava taken Mathematics at +2 level or studied Mathematics as core or ancillary subjects at B.Sc level alone are eligible for admission to B.E/B.Tech degree courses through Lateral Entry.

The minimum requirements for admission to Lateral Entry B.E. / B.Tech. Programmes are :

Sandwich Diploma Overall Percentage of marks obtained by the candidate from 1st semester to 7th semester excluding the inplant training marks
Part Time Diploma Overall Percentage of marks obtained by the candidate from 1st semester to 8th semester
Candidates belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have passed the qualifying examination within two attempts.

Ensure that even the non-IT students completing the capsule are eligible for IT jobs.
