Travancore Engineering College (TEC ),Roadvila,Oyoor, established in 2002, is a private self-financing college,under Travancore Educational Society in Kollam District. . which had been affiliated to the A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technological University(KTU),Trivandrum,Govt.of.Kerala, & Approved by AICTE,New Delhi.

The History & Glorious past of TEC was Nearly two thousand students had been studying here in both U.G.&P.G.cources.Around 60 numbers of Alumni of TEC is currently employed in higher designations in various departments of Government&Semi-Government Organizations.More than 1000 number of Alumni are employed in various private and government aided organizations. Really,TEC was holding one of the top positions as a KING among Academic Institutions,since 2002-2016(14Years). The College is managed by Travancore Education Society with registered office at Kallambalam,Trivandrum,Kerala.

College Campus is situated 25.5 acres of beautiful hill area surrounded with heavy greenery,which supplies abundance of Fresh Oxygen and cool climate. The college is approved courses are B.Tech. Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

A Training and Placement Cell is constituted every year headed by a Professor and including representatives of faculty and Students of various departments

Training and Placement Cell is headed by Dr. Eapen Varghese and Mr.Prabin.
The T & P Cell conducts Motivation Training and Counseling Programmes for First year students. The Cell also conducts Personality Development Programmes from second year onwards to enable students to attend interviews and other selection process confidently. The students are also directed to attend off Campus interviews organized by various institutions. They are also sent for implant training and to do project work in reputed institutions and organizations. Steps are on the anvil to conduct Campus Interviews/ Pooled Campus Interviews in the College itself. The service of the cell makes the student's life in the Campus meaningful and helps them to become successful engineers with a bright future by making them useful to the society and nation. The Placement Office facilitates the students to explore the world of employment and new career avenues. It also helps students in career planning through counseling where in they gather information about themselves in terms of their interests, aptitudes and abilities so that they can choose their career more effectively. The objective of the Placement Office is also on the professional development of the students by training them towards employability skills such as resume building, group discussion and interview skills which in turn helps the students to move into a desired occupation and/or apply in prestigious postgraduate and professional schools.

Admission For Government Merit Seats

  • Government merit seats will be allotted by the commissioner for entrance examination based on KEAM 2023 rank.
  • College code for govt. merit (as in the prospectus published by Commissioner of Entrance Examinations)

  • College merit seats will be filled by the management from the rank list prepared by giving equal weightage to KEAM 2023 marks and plus two marks (for Mathematics , Physics & Chemistry or Equilvalent), after normalization.
