    Sethu Institute of Technology, the brainchild of our Founder & Chairman, Mr. S. The college started with 180 students in the year 1995 with three UG Programmes has recorded a stupendous growth of expanding to the strength of 4800 students with 13 UG Programmes and 5 Post Graduate Programmes.

Eligibility Requirements for M.E:

A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained atleast 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination

  1. B.E., / B.Tech., degree programme
  2. Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science/Arts, which are prescribed. (or)
  3. Candidates with section ‘A’ & ‘B’ certificates and other similar certificate of professional bodies or societies (e.g. A.M.I.E.) recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India are considered to be equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. Degree holders only with 2 Years regular full time Teaching experience / Industrial experience* in the relevant field after successful completion of the course including project work

*An experience certificate is to be produced by the candidates with AMIE., Qualification.
a) 10+2 Years H.Sc., + AMIE., (with 2 Years experience) (or)
b) 10+3 Years Diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE., (with 2 Years experience)

  • Candidates with B.E.,/B.Tech., Degrees obtained through Distance mode/Week End courses are not eligible
  • Candidates with MCA.,/M.Sc., Degree obtained through Week End courses are not eligible
  • Candidates with Degree obtained without studying 10th , 12th Std. or 3 Years Diploma and 3/4 years Degree programme are not eligible

TRAINING & PLACEMENT CELL

TPC – the backbone of SIT brings all the students under one roof to chisel them into professionals with sound technical proficiency and soft skills. TPC empowers students to face the concrete challenges one encounters during the recruitment process. It incessantly endeavours to facilitate the scholar to conquer their career goals by instilling skills in a dynamic mode.

The percentage of successfully placed students in the past is a solid testimony to the tireless effort of the Team-TPC. We can proudly say that we have placed 638* students in 123* companies both in India and abroad, in this academic year alone!

The Training and Placement Cell is headed by the Vice Principal. The placements and trainings are looked after by the Training and Placement Cell comprising of a Dean (Training) and Dean(Placement) & Placement Officer  supported by Assistant Professors. A team of competent trainers from various expertise targets the students readiness on facing the overall Interview Process by enhancing their skills in communication, aptitude and technical skills, the expected parameters of the Industry

TRAINING AND PLACEMENT CELL

TPC handles the entire collection of activities to pay way for the students of SIT. It has signed a memorandum of understanding with various reputed organizations. Guest Lecture programmes are organised, in which several eminent personalities deliver the students to exchange ideas and concepts.

EXTERNAL TRAINING

The TPC also provides external training on aptitude skills, communication & soft skills and company specific technical training to augment their potentiality.

INTERNAL TRAINING

The Internal training accentuates on general aptitude, technical skill, soft skill, and communication skill to transform and empower the learners. To expand the horizon of knowledge of our students, TPC makes the students to participate in various competitions organized by multinational companies, sets a perfect platform to the students.

CAREER GUIDANCE CELL
