SCT Offers 6 Undergraduate Departments such as Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Bio-Technology and 6 Post Graduate Courses such as Computer Science and Engineering, Applied Electronics, Electronics & Drives and Engineering Design, Computer Applications and Management Studies.

The Computerized Library is the main resource centre of SCT, providing a conducive environment for learning. It provides excellent facilities to the students, researchers and faculty for their research, training and consultancy activities. In order to empower individuals to confidently interact globally through that one vital link language – “ENGLISH”. We have started a communicative English course with the help of The Institute of Language Management, Bangalore to improve the quality of Communicative English of students.

SCT is granted with Zone VIII approved Nodal Centre, IIT Bombay, Remote centre and Akash project by ministry of human resource and development, India. Initiated a International Bimonthly Journal called as International Journal of Innovative research in Engineering science and Technology with an ISSN No 2320-981X.In order to foster research and development doctoral research is initiated in mechanical engineering, Physics and Master of Computer Applications.

Should have a pass in any recognised Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration in 10+2+3 years pattern in BCA, B.Sc. (Information Technology/Computer Science) with Mathematics as a course at 10+2 / Graduate level and obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the qualifying degree examinations.Should have appeared for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET), conducted by Anna University, Chennai.

Career Development Cell of Selvam College of technology facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the Institute besides collaborating with leading organizations and institutes in setting up of internship and training program of students.

The cell liaises with various industrial establishments, corporate houses etc which conduct campus interviews and select graduate and post-graduate students from all disciplines. The Career Development cell provides the infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews besides catering to other logistics. The cell interacts with many industries in the country, of which nearly 200 companies visit the campus for holding campus interviews. The industries which approach the institute come under the purview of: Core Engineering industries, IT & IT enabled services and Management Organizations.
