Annapoorana Engineering College (AEC) was promoted by the famous Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal Medical Educational and Charitable Trust (TKVTSSMEC Trust) in the year 2010. The trust is a pioneer in offering higher education for over 3 decades in the fields of Medicine, Engineering, Dental, Pharmacy, Nursing, etc. It is always striving to impart quality education to all the students by providing state of art facilities, good academic ambience and opportunities to interact with Top Academicians / Professionals and right motivation to take part in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, thereby enabling them to develop deeply into the aspects of modern technology.

No account of the history can be complete without remembering the pioneering work of our FOUNDER CHAIRMAN Dr.A.SHANMUGASUNDARAM. It is the philanthropy of our Founder Chairman that has made this College – a seat of Social Reform movements, Cultural Renaissance and Intellectual Awakening for the young men and women in this part of the country.

AEC is becoming a shining example of ‘inclusive’ culture providing quality education to students belonging to socially deprived groups. In this sense, this college proves to be a forerunner to the principle of social justice that was powerfully enunciated and enshrined in the constitution of Indian Republic. AECS Tamil Nadu course eligibility 2024

BE/BTECH

Candidates should pass the 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized board. The qualifying exam should pass with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English subjects. Candidates have to score minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates) in their qualifying examination.+TNEA+COE

ME/MTECH

Candidate must have a recognised Bachelor's degree B.E. / B. Tech. with minimum 50% marks (45 % in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination. Candidate must have appeared for TANCET exam conducted by Anna University.

Training and Placement Cell arranges and coordinates various programmes that aim at moulding the students so as to meet the industry expectations in career building and in turn bring laurels to the parent institution. The Training and Placement Cell, guided by a set of rules and principles, strives to maintain good relationship with industries. Preparing the recruitment schedule for the year, inviting corporations for pre-placement talks on the campus followed by final placements, and overseeing the process to its end,is the responsibility of the Training and Placement Cell. The Cell endeavors to carry out successfully all the processes methodically throughout the year.

Training Activities

The training department helps the students to improve their employability skills in order to face the campus interview confidently and also to meet out the corporate expectations. We offer both internal and external kinds of training for the student’s right from the first year. The training department provides aptitude, communication, soft skills, technical and programming training to the students as a value-added program.

Annapoorana Engineering College in Association with BSA  Corporation Limited,Chennai  conducted a placement drive for final year and 2020 passed out studentson 20.01.2021.In which 77 students from different department got placed in various companies  under NEEM trainee scheme. The drive was headed by Mr.B.Ranjith kumar ,Senior manger,H.R operations,BSA.
